Being inside my head sometimes can be difficult. That’s why I try to numb it by consuming media (games, videos, music, etc). Finding an escape whenever possible. If I am actually in the mood for any of these things.
However, It’s becoming expensive to escape reality
- It’s expensive to watch series or movies.
- Streaming services has ruined media.
- Gaming is very expensive (PC or console). Getting into modern gaming needs some deep pockets!
- Even Youtube is littered with ads and sponsored segments. Very annoying to watch.
Inflation has ruined life basically, and you have to be creative with your musings.
It’s expensive to be an introvert. More like, it’s expensive to be alive..
For a guy like me. Living in a third world country torn by war and conflict. I play the games that my OS (Linux Mint) and my old Thinkpad can handle. Coupled with my slow and unreliable internet and the electricity that isn’t always available. I watch youtube and play free or abandoned games. It’s not the best but it’s something .. I make due with what I can get my hands on.
In the end
Inflation is bull$hit.
Subscription based models are bull$hit.
And many parts of life, are bull$hit as well ..
