In continuation of my posts about games, passion and prices. I’ve been wondering about what’s keeping me from playing the games I like and doing the things I enjoy doing?
I’ve decided to disable social media on my main device, while leaving Twitter installed on my phone for the occasional tweet or random thought sharing.
I found that constantly checking Facebook stole a lot of my time, the same website I wrote numerous posts warning about it in the past (the irony).

With it being disabled. I feel like my attention span is better. My time is well managed, and that I can do more things, rather than suffering from the “busy doing nothing syndrome!
Sure, sharing memes and cat pictures is fun and all, but I want to do things that I enjoy, away from social media. From the constant distraction and fake urgency.
I am glad this simple strategy worked. As my next attempt was to disconnect the internet altogether. A bit drastic if you ask me, but necessary.
Being scientific and all, I’ve decided to take things one step further
I have Lutris on my computer. I’ve written a post in English about it many years ago. The TL;DR is that it helps you manage your games and keep track of what you are playing. Ever since I’ve logged out of Facebook. I’m making real time in Lutris, and the counters don’t lie!

I am a visual person. I need to see my game library in front of me and I need to be able to measure what I am doing in time. The facts are clear. When Facebook is out, I play more and I have more fun.
Final words
So, dear reader. Any games you’d like to recommend for me? Something lightweight and easy to get into? I am a bit of a casual gamer, nothing too intense.
Thanks for reading and I’ll see you in the next one.
